1986 : Panthic Dusht Barnala's own committee stated in a report that the Nakoder killings (of Sikh students) were pre-planned.
1984 : A complete strike in Punjab was observed on the call of Akali Dal.
1958 : Jan Sangh members (now the BJP) set fire to the Gurdwara at Jallandar.
1780 : Sikhs fought Taemur near Multan.
