1919 The restrictions on Kirpans (Sri Sahib) for Sikhs was removed in British India and Burma.
1940 Sikh organizations and parties met at Amritsar under the leadership of Baba Gurdit Singh in regards to re-establishing Sikh sovereignty - Khalsa Raj in Punjab. A committee was constituted as a result.
